Carlos Castro is from the beautiful state of Arizona. Castro has had experience with combat sports since 2006 when he started wrestling, which lead him to a career as a Division I athlete with Arizona State University Wrestling. He started his amateur MMA career in 2012, experiencing first-hand the sacrifices of a local athlete. He has competed in over 16 amateur bouts spanning MMA, kickboxing, and Muay Thai.
In 2016 he was the U.S. featherweight national champion and represented the U.S. national team at the 2016 IMMAF – WMMAA International Mixed Martial Arts Federation World Championship, 2016 IMMAF European Open Championship and the 2018 IMMAF World Championship in Bahrain.
As an athlete and representative of the of USFMMA, Castro’s goal is to continue representing the USA as we work to progress national standards.
