For the first time in the history of the USA, Amateur MMA Athletes now have a voice with a true established Athletes Advisory Council! These athletes come from a diverse background of experience, from new athletes to seasoned professional champs with former US National team experience. Now all athletes will have direct representation within their own regions as well as 2 athletes from the AAC having direct representation on the National Board of Directors. Chairman of the AAC Orlando Jimenez from Arizona has previously competed for the US National team for 2 years including the IMMAF – International Mixed Martial Arts Federation Amateur World Championships both in Vegas, Bahrain and the European Open in Prague! Also a former D-I NCAA Wrestler for ASU and AZ State House of Reps candidate.
Fotini Kandris out of South Carolina has also been a US National team athlete for 2 years competing in the IMMAF World Championships in Bahrain. She is looking to make this her 3rd year representing the USA!
Josh Crumpton out of Alabama is a veteran amateur competitor who has come to witness the USA National Championships previously. Josh competes regularly and is happy to help represent all athletes as we push toward the global recognition of amateur MMA.
Sean Stebbins out of Minnesota is a 2 year veteran of the US National team and represented at the IMMAF world Championships in Bahrain for the last 2 years winning a Bronze Medal in 2017. Sean is making his Pro debut with LFA tomorrow night.
Lateesha Mohl out of Pennsylvania is an Amateur Muay Thai Champion and is working on her growth additionally within the sport of MMA. She competes within several states in the NE and Atlantic Coast region.
Gustavo Gomez out of Texas has been a regular competitor on the US National and International circuit representing the US National team at the IMMAF Amateur World Championship in Las Vegas and also the European Open Championships in Prague.
David Evans out of Missouri has been a 3 year veteran on the US National team earning 2 silvers and 1 bronze medal at the IMMAF Amateur World Championships as well as competing at the European Open Championship in Prague. David still competes and is a coach with ATT Evolution.
LaNeisha She Hulk Vinson out of South Carolina is the current defending IMMAF Bantamweight World Champion! Laneisha was the first female athlete from the USA to win a gold medal at the Amateur World Championships. She did this in dramatic fashion by also being the first global athlete on the IMMAF platform to record 4 straight KOs/TKOs to accomplish that feat.
Jose Shorty Torres out of Illinois was the single most decorated athlete in the history of the US National amateur team. Jose was a 2x US National champ and a 2x IMMAF World Champ. After signing Pro, Jose went undefeated under Titan Fighting Championship and became a 2 division Pro champ. Jose was then signed and competed for the UFC until the flyweight division was released. Jose is now a signed professional under the fastest growing global promotion Brave Combat Federation!
